What is the minimum amount of snow your service will remove?

We can come by whether it’s 0.5 of snow or 10 your snow removal package is entirely customized based on your needs and budget.

Do you shovel stairs, decks, and patios?

We always recommend getting any area tenants or customers walk on to get cleared. Slip and fall injuries are very common in the winter time and a lawsuit is always close behind. With Omaha NE our snow shovel crews use shovels or walk-behind Honda snow blowers to clear these areas.

What happens if your snow plowing crews damage my property?

We carry a $2,000,000 general liability insurance policy, which covers damage from operator negligence. We are not responsible for superficial gouges and chain marks resulting from normal snow removal operations. We will not repair or pay for the repair of driveways or parking lots that crush or deteriorate due to water saturation or thin asphalt. Lastly, we do not cover any slip and falls or other injuries if preventative measures such as de-icing have been forgone by ownership.

Will my property always be snow free?

If we could choose how it snows in Omaha NE, then snow would fall for short periods of time, followed by long breaks in the weather. With an R&R Omaha NE Snow Removal seasonal contract you are guaranteed at least one service after 0/1/2 inches or more of snowfall, every 24 hours, until your property is clear of snow. Most of this is dependent on the terms of our agreement.

I don’t need a snow removal maintenance plan, can I just call you if I need?

Yes, we do have on call service, and you are welcome to call us any time.  However, please keep in mind the benefits of seasonal contracts:

• Emergency vehicles, in the event of a flood or fire will always have access at your address.
• You can sleep in instead of calling dozens of contractors who are too busy to help

If it is a heavy snowstorm and I’m blocked in, how can you help me leave?

• Depending on what your plan is, you may or may not have salting included with the snow removal
• All snow removal clients receive live updates, reporting with before and after pictures, and 24/7 dispatch services team.

Do you work with the City of Omaha NE to coordinate snow plowing?

No.  The snow removal process is very complicated and it would be impossible for the City to work with every snow removal contractor.  This means, once we are finished plowing, the city may come and plow over what we have done causing people to be trapped.  We have no control over the city unfortunately.

Can you come service my property immediately?

Every snow situation is different and we have to prepare for that.  We must follow a carefully planned out system for clearing the driveways/parking lots. If we allowed our plows to be re-routed each time a special request is made, our system would be useless and it would take far longer to get all the snow cleared. To keep our snow removal operations as effective and efficient as possible, plows are not permitted to go off from their assigned routes.  One thing to note however our routes are on rotation for each snow so the order of the properties change each time, giving each client equal treatment.

Can you tell me exactly when my snow will be plowed?

As weather conditions change we often must alter our snow-management strategy. This happens sometimes in the middle of our snow removal operations in order to control drifting snow, ice or other special problems. We cannot give you an estimate of when it will be cleared due to ever-changing weather conditions however we can update you when we are on our way and when we are done with pictures before and after.

Why do you sometimes plow snow and other times spread salt?

Each winter storm requires the use of different snow-management techniques. The decision whether to salt or plow depends upon the expected weather conditions. For example, if the temperature is below 20 degrees and expected to dip, salt will not be effective. But if the sun is out and the temperature is 21 degrees or more (and expected to remain steady or to rise), then salt would be a better option. The decision whether to plow or salt is made with great consideration and based on the latest weather information available.
